European Quantum Week 2020

As part of European Quantum Week, held from November 2–6, 2020, Dr. Rok Žitko from the Jožef Stefan Institute and Dr. Peter Jeglič from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, University of Ljubljana, delivered a public lecture titled Quantum Technologies on the European Horizon. The event targeted high school students and the general public, shedding light on the importance of quantum technology development in Europe.

The lecture was organized under the Quantum Flagship initiative and the Slovenian quantum technologies community, QUTES. The researchers introduced key concepts of quantum physics and their future applications, including quantum computing, communication, and simulations.
