Assoc. Prof. Dr Denis Golež, recipient of the Zois Award and researcher at the Jožef Stefan Institute and the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at the University of Ljubljana, appeared on RTV Slovenia’s Radiosfera podcast.

Episode description: What do horse racing and quantum materials have in common? This episode explores the extraordinarily short periods of time (femtoseconds) during which quantum phenomena actually take place. To put a femtosecond into perspective, we need to go back almost as far as the age of the dinosaurs. But to harness these quantum phenomena in quantum technology, we first need to find a way to make them more persistent. How, then, can we move from these fleeting moments to so-called quantum switches? Dr Denis Golež of the Jožef Stefan Institute and the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at the University of Ljubljana, who received a Zois Award for his research, explains in this episode of Radiosfera.
