In an interview for DELO’s Sobotna priloga, Prof. Dr. Dragan Mihailović, head of the Complex Matter Department at the Jožef Stefan Institute, discussed the 25% decline in research funding in recent years, leading to a brain drain of talented scientists abroad. He stressed that stable funding, clear evaluation criteria, and stronger industry collaborations are crucial for Slovenia’s competitiveness in quantum science.
