We are proud to share that Dr. Lara Ulčakar, a researcher at the Department of Theoretical Physics at the Jožef Stefan Institute, has been awarded the title of “Name of the Week” on the national radio station Val 202.
Dr. Ulčakar, together with a team from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, University of Ljubljana, conducted the first public demonstration of quantum entanglement in Slovenia. The experiment, organized as part of the International Year of Quantum Science, confirms the validity of the quantum description of the world and marks a significant milestone in the Slovenian quantum research landscape.
In the interview, she remarked that “you don’t have to be a genius to be a scientist” which is an important and inspiring message for everyone curious about exploring the world around us.
