On the occasion of the World Quantum Day, celebrated on April 16, 2025, a live radio broadcast was held at the Gallery of the Jožef Stefan Institute from 10:00 to 13:30, in collaboration with Val 202. Journalist Maja Ratej and physicist Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lev Vidmar together with several invited guests presented diverse aspects of quantum science to the public.
The conversation highlighted the fundamental role of quantum theory as the foundation of modern technologies, such as quantum cryptography, quantum teleportation, photonic technologies, and various other applications. Special attention was given to the centenary of a milestone moment in the history of science: the derivation of the laws of modern quantum physics by the German physicist Werner Heisenberg.
